Atlanta Business Radio’s Federal Government Contracting Forum Special

On today’s show Kevin Grimes with CFO Leasing helped organize this great Federal Government Contracting Forum Special in order to help explain the secrets to getting government loans and other government money.

Kevin kicked the show off by explaining how much government money is available for small business in Atlanta and in Georgia. And he also shared some of the resources that can help a business find and apply for that money. Next Terri Denison, Georgia District Director of the Small Business Association came on to share some of the opportunities that the Recovery Act of 2009 has made available. Next Chuck Shadl, Program Dirctor of Georgia Tech Procurement Assistance Center came on to explain some of the great free training programs that are available for small business owners. He explained the importance of partnering and networking for small business if you want to sell to the government. You can learn more about his Center at www.gtpac.org

We closed the show with Gwen Miles, Assistant Director, Office of Small Business Programs. She currently works at Fort McPherson. She explained how the Army buys goods and services and how important it is to properly register and prepare before you try to sell to the military or to the government.
